I began a bit hesitant with this oil since it is named turbo Diesel Truck, I was already using Shell Rotella Synthetic which is also good. However, the more I used this TD Truck of Mobil , the more confidence it gave me , why? It is for Mixed fleets( it has all certifications), I even used it in my Generac, 14KWH stand by Generator, Two Oil changes and it is working like a charm, Smaller engines rotate faster than large ones breaking down OIL a lot faster, but this one has taken heavy usage( up to 9 hours non stop of power outage for several times very well) and in my truck and SUV 8,000 Miles Easy without breaking down. It may even do more, but Diesel combustion is not the cleanest on earth, on Gasoline engines I am sure it can withstand 10,000 Miles without a problem…I am staying with this oil , works extremely well, just one OIL in all lubricant needs is simple, and gives me peace of mind since I have tested it over a year now and has proven to be a multi application , High Quality, work horse…Cheers!

Most cars … change your oil at no more than 7000 miles if you drive normal. if you drive hard 5000 miles, if you have a turbo and drive hard 3000 miles. If you do this, you will most likely have body issues long before anything happens to the engine. Of course you need to do the normal stuff, change your coil packs, spark plugs, filters etc. I have 104k miles on a 2011 VW GTI… it runs like a beast. I change my oil every 3000 miles or 6 months whatever happens first. This is how you get a car to last 13 years…. or over 25 years. And let’s be honest who wants to fork over the crazy money the car dealers want for a car anymore. Just take care of what you got and do it yourself. That way you know you got the best oil, the best filter (I like Mann) and know it was done correct. Last thing … clay your car every 6 months if you don’t want it to fade and look crappy when it gets older. Mine still looks almost new… I got a couple of chips from rocks.

Over the years I have used many different types of motor oils and different Brands and I have never seen a singular motor oil that works remarkably better than any other oil as long as it is within the correct viscosity. That being said, when you want to protect a valuable asset that you’re going to be locked down with for the next decade or so, you want to make sure that you have a decent oil and I always keep coming back to Mobil 1. While I have not noticed any remarkable increase in fuel mileage or any difference in the sound or performance of my engine, every time I drain the oil it looks great and I feel like it is doing a good job of protecting the internals. I have been using this oil for years and it has not disappointed me yet so I will continue to use it

I use a Fram Synthetic oil filter and am a firm believer in keeping fresh oil in your vehicles. I started when I was a kid I had a 69 Chevelle with a big block 454 in it and I drove the hell out of it. the car had 247000 miles on it when I got rid of it and still ran like a scalded dog. I can’t stress it enough change your oil every 3000 miles and your car will run forever
